For this Assignment, I worked as part of a small team on The Crescent Mule, a narrative-driven psychological sci-fi horror game set aboard a transport ship carrying the last remnants of humanity after Earth's destruction. The game focused heavily on tension, manipulation, and player-driven storytelling, placing the player in control of a parasitic organism that must secretly move between crew members to survive. The project explored themes such as identity, morality, deception, and survival through branching narrative choices and character relationships.
My main contribution to the project was programming and implementation within Unity. I handled the technical side of the prototype, building the systems and gameplay functionality needed to bring the narrative concepts into an interactive format. Roni also contributed to the programming side of the project, while Jack created all of the artwork and visual assets for the game. Because of this collaboration, we were able to combine strong visual presentation with gameplay systems that supported the atmosphere and pacing we wanted to achieve.
